Song of the day.........Stabbing Westward with "So Far Away"

Stabbing Westward may be one of the best bands that you may not be familiar with. They had a couple of singles that performed well on the charts, but they never really caught on. Every album though is great, every song is catchy, and their music was just awesome. I saw Stabbing Westward live a couple of times, and they did not disappoint. Maybe one of the stranger pairings was when I saw them open for Depeche Mode back in the late '90's. Great band though.

Song of the day......The Black Keys with "She's Long Gone"

One of my favorite new bands is The Black Keys. They've just got an interesting sound. They sound like a blend of Robert Johnson infused blues, and Jack White's guitar riffing. It sounds cool, and I really dig the stuff that these guys are releasing. Here is one of their songs titled "She's Long Gone."

Song of the day.........Sex Pistols with "Pretty Vacant"

There are so many good songs off of the Sex Pistols "Nevermind the Bollocks...." album. One of my favorites is "Pretty Vacant." It's just got such a great sound to it. I really like the chorus....... It's almost even melodic. Almost.

Song of the day..........Steve Miller Band with "The Joker"

He's had some classics over the years, but Steve Miller may best be known for his hit song "The Joker." I've always been kind of on the fence about the Steve Miller band until I heard some tracks off of a live album a couple of years ago. Just really good jam band stuff. If you like the stuff on his studio albums, also check out his live stuff. I think it's a lot better than the studio stuff to be honest.

I've just recently started listening to music from the band Therapy? This is probably my favorite track that I've listened to so far from them. This track is all the way back from 2000. Give it a listen and see what you think.

Song of the day........Creed with "Higher"

I must first say that I am not a big fan of Creed. I've just never thought that it was all that great, but I do have to say that they did put out a couple of songs that I don't mind. One of those from Creed is "Higher." I really like the music to this. The guitarist for Creed is incredibly talented. I'll give Creed that. So, here it is, Creed's "Higher."

Song of the day.........Garbage with "Run Baby Run"

One of my favorite live bands of all time is Garbage. They are just flat out an amazing live band. Last year I got to see them play at the Ogden, and just as in years past they were absolutely wonderful. Shirley, Duke, Steve, and Butch are so incredibly talented. In 2005 Garbage released their "Bleed Like Me" album. One of my favorite tracks off of that album is "Run Baby Run."
